Your future trees and shrubs
What’s growing in the nursery right now?
For bare-root fruit trees (between 0.80m and 2m), these are one-year-old scions. Orders are placed by e-mail in September, and can be picked up at a local fair or at the farm from mid-November or December, depending on the tree’s cycle.
Field and fodder trees in plugs (~20cm) are sown from seeds collected locally or further afield (rarely bought). I publish my availabilities in September for withdrawal in November for hedge planting.
I have potted fruit trees available all year round if you’d like to give them as gifts, for example, or extend the planting season.
You can also buy a gift voucher to give for a housewarming, birthday or other celebration.
Where, when, how?
